smart7company was tasked with developing a bespoke Point of Sale (POS) and Inventory Management System for the popular Zanzibar Spice Cafe chain. The goal was to replace their manual processes with a streamlined digital solution. The system handles sales, real-time inventory tracking across three branches, customer order management, and provides a powerful administrative dashboard with detailed sales analytics and financial reporting.
The Challenge
The client struggled with inaccurate inventory counts, slow service during peak hours, and a lack of centralized data for making informed business decisions. They needed a reliable system that was intuitive for their staff to use and could synchronize data across all their locations, even with intermittent internet connectivity.
Our Solution
We engineered a cloud-based web application with a touch-friendly interface for fast and easy order processing. The integrated inventory module automatically updates stock levels with each sale, sends low-stock alerts, and simplifies the reordering process. A key feature is its offline capability, allowing the POS to function without an internet connection and automatically syncing all sales data once connectivity is restored. We provided comprehensive on-site training to ensure a smooth transition for all staff and management.
