Comprehensive CCTV Surveillance System Installation

Overview

smart7company was commissioned to design, supply, and install a state-of-the-art IP CCTV surveillance system for the main warehouse and office complex of Apex Logistics. The project's goal was to enhance security, monitor shipments, and ensure staff safety across their large facility. The installation included 32 high-definition dome and bullet cameras, a centralized Network Video Recorder (NVR) with remote access capabilities, and integration with their existing network.

The Challenge

The primary challenge was ensuring complete surveillance coverage of a large, high-ceiling warehouse with numerous blind spots and providing clear imaging in both bright daylight and low-light night conditions. We also had to minimize disruption to their 24/7 logistics operations during the installation process.

Our Solution

Our technical team conducted a detailed site survey to map strategic camera placements using a mix of wide-angle and varifocal lens cameras. We utilized infrared (IR) cameras for excellent night vision and Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology to simplify wiring and reduce installation time. The installation was scheduled in phases and during off-peak hours to ensure Apex Logistics' operations remained uninterrupted. The system now provides crystal-clear, 24/7 monitoring accessible to their security team via a dedicated control room and mobile devices.
